Great / Platonic Year

11/05/2012 20:11

I would like to introduce you to:-

  • The Great/Platonic Year which last for a cycle of approx 26,000 earth years. This is the time it takes for our Sun to complete its Precession of the Equinoxes.
  • One Earth year consists of twelve astrological ages which corresponds to our twelve zodiac signs and is the time it takes for the sun to move through each sign. this is known as the Solar Year.
  • An Astrological Year is about 2,160 years long. This is the length of time it takes the Sun to move from one Astrological sign to another/
  • The Mayans Long Count Calender consists of five cycles each being 5,125 years, these five cycles combined become the Great Year.
  • The Galactic or Cosmic Year is 225 million years long, and this is the time it takes for our Solar System to circle the Galactic Core.
  • Some believe that 21st December 2012 marks the end of one 'Cycle', perhaps the end of a 'GreatYear'.  Keep in mind the fact that as we near the end of one cycle we begin a new one, with this ending and then the new beginning comes change. Change on all levels as old belief patterns become unsustainable. According to the Mayans we entered the 5th World Age, the Age of the Sun on 11th August 3114 BCE (Before Common Era). It is believed that when each of the earlier ages ended they did so accompanied by catastrophes.
  • What humanity has forgotten is that together, we have the power - through 'positive thought', to make this imminent transition an easy one.

We have travelled to the farthest point from the centre of our galaxy, now it is time to make the return journey.

This means that we are now at the darkest point of our journey, and the next step for humanity is to move into the light, to hold the light in the form of knowledge/wisdom. As we continue the return journey through the ages/cycles we will each of us return to the Enlightened state we knew at the start of our outward journey from our source.
